8-Minute Core Burn
with Ellie Barbeau
Thanks for joining us in this quick, fiery flow where we are going to engage your core and get it feeling that fire. You can revisit this flow anytime you need a quick hit of abdominal work. Today's class starts seated on your mat with your legs in a zigzag position ready for our flow: • Leg Lifts: Performing leg lifts while balancing on your front leg for sets of 10 and 5 on each side. The sword is in the right hand for the first set and then the left hand for the second set. • Ballerina Sword: You will hinge gently back at your hips with a straight back, engaging your obliques while twisting your hands overhead to the side for two sets of 10. You will then move into your outside flower and reverse it up for two sets of 10. • Boat Pose with the sword at your chest. You will hold the pose, then lift one toe at a time, and kick forward with one leg at a time, before lifting both toes, and then bringing your knees in and extending your legs out long. • Final Boat Pose. You will hinge back at your hips with your knees lifted. You can keep your feet on the ground as a modification, or extend all the way up. You will open out to one side, hold it, and then move to the other side and hold it. Save it and hit play anytime you want to get a quick ab workout in!
