Quick Soaring Dancer

Thanks for joining me on the mat today! We have a really short and graceful balance flow where we are going to find ourselves soaring from pose to pose. We begin on the right side of the mat with the sword in the right hand. The flow includes: • Sitting down into chair pose with a reverse flower. • Moving into Warrior III with an outside flower as you lift your left leg. • Sweeping the sword in front as you bring the left knee up, standing tall. • Entering dancer pose with a graceful windmill movement of the arms. • Sitting back into one-legged chair (or eagle). • Transitioning into ninja pose with an outside flower and then a half flower. • Shifting to the other side, coming onto your knee with an outside flower, and lifting the sword overhead. • Creating a beautiful arc from the tip of the sword behind you in the left hand, reaching back with the right hand to meet your leg. • Returning to center, striking forward with an outside flower, and lifting back to chair. • We will then repeat the entire sequence on the left side, starting with the sword in the left hand, including the windmill motion to grasp the ankle for dancer pose. We'll take the flow one more time on each side of the mat. You can take this flow at your own pace, fast or slow, to get a really flowy movement either way.
