Hello, and welcome to Day 4 of our Deluxe Edition of Sword Mastery! Today we're going to be learning the Half Flower. You'll see the Half Flower almost everywhere in our flows, both on social media and during the actual practice of WeaponUp. The Half Flower can be broken down into three distinct movements:
- The Outside Flower
- A block
- An arch
We'll break down the movement step-by-step, starting with the outside flower, which we learned on Day 2. We'll guide you through practicing the full Half Flower slowly on the right side, emphasizing that the way you finish your movement is how you begin it, making sure you end with your palm facing away from you. Then, we will break down the steps on the left side.
We'll practice putting the segments together on both the right and left sides for a more fluid motion. Our class concludes with a challenge for you to practice the Half Flower a hundred times. Can you do it?
