DAY 1. I’m 43 and have never done yoga or anything related. I’ve always had a very sedentary life, as much as a mom of four could😆. Newly separated, and after taking care of everyone around me my whole life, this is the start of a new life in which I take care of ME.
This is a public announcement of my commitment. A commitment to put my mental and physical health first.
I’ll comment on every video with the day I’m on and how I feel. I’ve been a very heavy smoker, so this small practice had me gasping for air. I quit a month ago. I was lost, so lost, with my left and right hands, where to put my legs, and how to tilt my hips, but I will keep going. I know resilience is the greatest attribute I need to work on.
Please like this comment to give me the motivation to stand up from the couch 🥲😅🤣 AG

Mama of two here, 39 and happily divorced a little over a year now. Slowly relearning what I like to do just for me. Keep up the good work! Sometimes just showing up is the hardest part. Everything will fall into place.

My sword won't be here for awhile so I am using a lightsaber while I wait for it. I was excited to hear you mention lightsabers specifically in the video!

I unfortunately don’t have a lightsaber to help me through my waiting period until my sword comes in, but what i DOOO have is a handy dandy curtain rod.. and it’s been working for me so far!👍😂

Me too! Grabbed my Husbands lightsaber for practice. I can tell I have a way to go, some stiffness and soreness just from that day one intro.

I think as an absolute beginner that has never done yoga, this is going to take me more like 10 weeks than 10 days so I can practice each lesson and gain some flexibility!

Ten days of lessons can last even one year with dedicated practice :) Ten weeks for these "basics" is a great way to think about it! Consistency is the most important thing!

Took me two tries to finish the video because my brain took some time to assimilate the posture but that felt great! Now to repeat that video about 8 more times this week 😍

I love these stances; they are very familiar to me from my past practice of Tai Chi and fencing. I’m looking forward to perfecting them through this new discipline.

My sword isn’t here yet, but I’m super excited to start. I have a fake one I will be using until it gets here. I missed doing yoga, but I think this new practice is going to be my new favorite.

I'm 41 with a toddler. Haven't had a regular work out routine since I became a mom, and I'm feeling it. I saw you on IG and realized I having a sword would motivate me better to work out! I just signed up and have ordered my sword. But it won't come until the end of March or April :´( So for this session I used a yardstick :D I'm very exited for the sword to arrive and to continue this training!

Doing some other movements and flow in between the practice of the movements definitely got me feeling this in my shoulders and wrists. Thank you, Sabina! Aim so excited to continue (and get to the Nesta video. ♡)

After suffering both an injury and being laid off in January I am back. Going very slow because I've had to be stationary for 2 months while I recovered. Slow going but I'm back 💪🏽

It would be helpful if the studio were available as an app or to cast to a television. A larger screen would be easier to see while we practice. In addition, we could use a mirror to check our positions.
