- The outside flower, where you focus on bringing the tip of the sword down and drawing a large circle with the wrist.
- The overhead flower, which involves swinging the sword above the head.
- The half flower, a movement that starts like the outside flower, continues into a blocking maneuver, and finishes with an arching rainbow motion.
These moves are combined into a full flow with weight shifts and yoga postures, including:
- Striking into a Warrior pose.
- Moving into a side lunge or "ninja" pose.
- Transitions like the roving ninja.
- And our overhead flower combo.
The full flow is practiced on both the right and left sides, concluding with three deep breaths.
