Whether you are focusing on precision or fluid movement, this class offers a comprehensive learning experience: • Ambidextrous Mastery: You will learn to perform the same flow on both your right and left sides. • Controlled Movement: The session emphasizes deliberate motions to embody the trope while maintaining control through various transitions. • Full Body Engagement: You will integrate lunges, "chin to shin" stretches, and standing transitions with sword techniques into a single, cohesive routine. What to Expect • Warmup: Prepare your body with a series of deep inhales and exhales while kneeling, followed by right and left leg lunges that include overhead sword reaches and "chin to shin" hamstring stretches. • Technical Flow (Right Side): Learn the sequence starting from a kneeling position, featuring an "unsheathing" movement from the left hip, an outside flower into a lunge, and a transition from a ground-level stretch to a standing side slice. • Technical Flow (Left Side): Master the same sequence on your left side, unsheathing the sword from the right hip into an outside flower and lunge, followed by a "chin to shin" release and an overhead slice to the right. • "The Chosen One" Finale: Combine all elements into a final fluid sequence that includes a wrist-touch transition, an overhead outside flower, and a powerful forward strike.
