Get ready to channel your inner assassin, warrior, and dancer with this beautiful, fiery flow, inspired by the fierce and sassy Celaena Sardothien!
Ellie created this sequence to be a powerful blend of dance with an unexpected strike. This is where we charm our way in with the movement, then "whip out the blade" with an assassin's precision—it’s the perfect way to practice that confident, feminine grace while building control.
This class focuses on coordination, grip transitions, and power. You'll definitely want to revisit the prerequisites mentioned in the video!
The Flow Breakdown:
We’ll take it slow to start, locking in the movements and grip changes, especially on the right side.

The Flow Breakdown:
We’ll take it slow to start, locking in the movements and grip changes, especially on the right side.
- Start Position: Sword behind your back, elbow high.
- Half Flower: Bring the sword out in front for a half flower.
- Full Flower: Transition right into a full flower.
- Outside Flower & Reverse Grip: As you bring the sword down, reverse your grip into an outside flower (we will be uploading just this grip change shortly into the studio and to the prerequisites here, so no worries if you're not getting it).
- Grip Note: Your fingers tug around the grip and you flip the blade so it's in line with your arm.
- Strike Down: From this position, open wide, and strike down with the point of the sword.
- Overhead Flower: Change your grip back to a normal grip as you come up for an overhead flower.
- Warrior 3: Open into a strong Warrior 3 pose—you're about halfway through the flow here!
- Spin: Cross the lifted leg behind for a spin to finish the main move.
- Sword Action: During the spin, the sword executes a half flower, creating a big arc behind your back.
- Strike Out: As you face the front, strike out to the side.
- Flip and Open: Bring the sword overhead, then reverse your grip once more (flipping the blade in your hand).
- Behind the Back: Bring the sword behind you, opening your chest.
- Final Shift & Strike: Execute one more grip flip (like we did in the original Celaena Flow), shift the blade forward with the tip pointing in front, then strike overhead.
- Finish: Come all the way down to the ground.
Remember to pause the video whenever you need to lock those movements and grip transitions in place!
