Black Swan: The Fall

With Sabina Storberg

From Black Swan

Welcome to The Fall, the first class in the advanced Black Swan Series taught by Sabina. This choreography class centers on the idea of rising and falling as we begin to build the long, graceful, and powerful Black Swan flow.

Important: This is a more advanced flow. Please ensure you have mastered your basics before starting the Black Swan Series.

In this class, you will learn the choreography on the right (or dominant) side of the body through individual moves and full repetitions, including:

  • A sequence involving bending the knees, lifting the hands, and starting with a fall and then a rise.
  • An outside flower with a fall.
  • Rising up with the left leg into a balance pose, transitioning to a chair or eagle pose.
  • Striking down while in the balance/eagle pose.
  • A series of full flowers and a half flower leading into a back bend and then a forward fall.

We will practice this "grace flow" together two times to establish the foundation for the series.

It would help if this was not taught with a black background AND black clothing.

I know it’s cool looking, however, black outfit and black
Background made it quite difficult to see clearly.

Quick question…is it possible to reversed the video so that we can learn and practice without flipping right left consistently? Almost all the instructional videos are either flipped or back view. Thank you
