We start with our five integral stances:
We start with our five integral stances:
- Squat Posture: Hold for 10 deep breaths. Remember to point your feet outwards, tuck in your spine, keep your back straight, and ensure your knees do not go above your toes.
- Warrior Stance: Bring the foot in, keep the back leg strong, and hold for 10 breaths with a 90-degree angle.
- Lunge: Bring the knee down, both feet face forward, and bring your butt down. Hold for 10 breaths.
- Empty Foot, Empty Stance: Bend the right leg, point the left, and hold for 10 seconds, then switch sides.
- Cross Stance: Bring one foot behind you and hug it in, keeping your back straight while holding for 10 seconds on each side.
After our stances, we will unsheath our sword and go into our basic sword flowers, practicing 20 repetitions per flower, covering the movements from Day 2 through Day 6:
- Outside Flower (Day 2): 20 reps on each side, followed by the Reverse Outside Flower (20 reps on each side).
- Inside Flower and Reverse Inside Flower (20 reps on each side).
- Figure Eight (Day 3): 20 reps on each side, followed by the Reverse Figure Eight (20 reps on each side).
- Overhead Flower (Day 3): 20 reps on both sides.
- Half Flower (Day 4): 20 reps on both sides.
- Full Flower (Day 5): 20 reps on both sides.
- Invert and Change Grip (Day 6): 20 repetitions on both sides (outside, bring it in, invert, and change grip).
This is the full consolidated practice, and you can repeat it as many times as you like! If any movement is not yet smooth, you can go back to the individual day videos to slowly practice before returning to this session.
